Being Straightforward Matters: Russell Prescott’s Record of Funding Planned Parenthood
Russell Prescott is running as a “pro-life” Republican, but he is not being honest with voters about his record. Let’s be clear, honesty and a person’s record matter.
In 2017
While serving on the Executive Council, Russell Prescott was the deciding vote for an over $500,000 contract to fund Planned Parenthood. He voted alongside then Executive Councilor Chris Pappas to support the controversial funding. Executive Council approves Planned Parenthood contract (wmur.com)
Prescott was called out for his vote by various pro-life groups, including ‘Cornerstone’ which called his vote “distressing.”
In 2018
Russell Prescott Ran for Re-election to the Executive Council and won.
Upon his victory, Planned Parenthood congratulated him and the Democrats on the Council who had won. In the words of Planned Parenthoods Director of Advocacy and Organizing, Kayla Montgomery, they were “thrilled.”
In 2019
Despite the ample time to reconsider his 2017 decision through a pro-life lens, Russell Prescott voted again in 2019 to fund Planned Parenthood to the tune of $548,000. Today
Russell Prescott is running for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District and is claiming to be pro-life. The problem is that his record doesn’t match that claim. He is not being straightforward with Granite Staters about his background and that matters!
Hollie Noveletsky on the other hand is a nurse, mother, and grandmother who believes in the sanctity of life. Hollie believes the Supreme Court got it right by sending the issue back to the states where people at the local level can make a decision.
In Congress, Hollie will oppose taxpayer funding of abortion. Period!
