Noveletsky Supports Speaker Johnson in Opposition to Proposed Senate Immigration Bill
February 5, 2024
Greenland, NH – Today, conservative CEO and candidate for Congress, Hollie Noveletsky, announced her support of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) in his opposition to the proposed Senate Immigration Bill.
Speaker Johnson has come out in opposition to the bill as details emerged late on Sunday night. “I’ve seen enough. This bill is even worse than we expected, and won’t come close to ending the border catastrophe the President has created,” said Speaker Johnson in a statement on X.
Speaking on the legislation, Noveletsky said, “I completely support Speaker Johnson and oppose the bill put forward by the Senate. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) let the cat out of the bag by admitting ‘the border never closes’ under this legislation.” She continued, “I am hearing from voters across New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District that they want the border closed and it is a top priority of my campaign. I would not support this legislation as a member of Congress.”
The bill has faced additional scrutiny for the fact that it allocates more money to Ukraine than it does to securing the southern border, which is an issue that Noveletsky said makes the bill “even more unsupportable.”
Noveletsky is the CEO of Novel Iron works in Greenland, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in working with dementia patients. She also served for 10 years between the US Army Reserves and NH National Guard. You can learn more about her and her campaign for Congress at holliefornewhampshire.com
