Remembering America’s Fallen Heroes

May 27, 2024

Memorial Day Weekend is often celebrated by cookouts, parades, and other festivities with family and friends. All of those activities are fun and should be enjoyed, however, I think it is important to take a moment to make sure we all remember the reason for the holiday.

We must ensure that on this holiday we take a moment to remember the hundreds of thousands of brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of this nation. Without their sacrifice, none of the blessings we enjoy would be possible.

Throughout this campaign I have spoken about the American Dream and how I am running for Congress to help preserve it for future generations. Memorial Day is an opportunity to take a special moment to remember that the blessings of the American Dream would not be possible without those who paid the price on our behalf. It is a truly humbling thought to consider, but one that causes me to have sincere gratitude for this country and those who died so we could live in freedom.

As a veteran of the US Army Reserves and the NH National Guard, I would like to personally thank my brothers and sisters in uniform who paid the ultimate price for our liberty. May their sacrifice be remembered today and every day; and for all of us, let’s remember the words of President Lincoln and ensure “that these dead shall not have died in vain.”

God bless America and God bless our fallen heroes!!
